“Sopranos” star James Gandolfini is among the executive producers working on an adaptation of Canada’s “Taxi 22,” a series that centers on a politically incorrect cab driver.

The New York version is being conceived with the idea that Gandolfini will take the starring role for the new HBO series, according to Variety. Stay tuned.
