James DiMaggio, the suspect who allegedly kidnapped Hannah Anderson before he was shot in Idaho over the weekend, tortured and then killed the girl’s mother and brother, Christina and Ethan Anderson, according to a report. It also found that Hannah and DiMaggio called each other more than a dozen times on the day of her kidnapping.

A search warrant obtained by 10 News in Southern California found that he also shot the family dog in his Boulevard, Calif., home. He then allegedly burned the home down and abducted Hannah, leading authorities on a multi-state manhunt.

Authorities said that a crowbar and blood was found near Christina’s body.

The documents also stated that DiMaggio took Hannah Anderson on several day trips, including Malibu, in the past.

Anderson said that DiMaggio, a longtime family friend, “tricked” her into visiting his home a week and a half ago, according to The Associated Press.

She also said that he tied up her mother and brother in his garage before he kidnapped her.

She later learned that her brother and mother were killed, adding that she cried all night when hearing the news.

“I wish I could go back in time and risk my life to try and save theirs. I will never forgive myself for not trying harder to save them,” she wrote.
