Jacqueline Danforth: Barbara Walters daughter was arrested in Florida for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Danforth, 44, was pulled over near Naples, Florida, according to TMZ. Danforth’s car had no lights on on early Sunday, May 19, according to UPI. She was with a male. After the male was being handcuffed by police, Danforth started to become angry and started shouting, according to the police report.

“I was afraid that the suspect may run into traffic on the highway, so she was taken to the ground due to her unpredictable behavior, then secured in handcuffs,” the arresting officer wrote in his report.

Her blood alcohol content was .218, more than twice the legal limit. Danforth was released on $1,000 bond several hours after being arrested.

A representative for Walters, who recently announced her retirement, had not comment.
