Ivanka Trump was reportedly berated on a JetBlue airplane, prompting the airliner to kick the passenger off the plane, according to reports on Thursday.
Ivanka, the daughter of President-elect Trump, was with her three young children when another passenger started yelling at her—about her father.
“Your father is ruining the country,” the person yelled, according to TMZ and TheWrap. TMZ also apparently obtained photos of Ivanka on the plane.
“Why is she on our flight. She should be flying private,” the person added.
A passenger on the plane said that Ivanka, who was flying coach, ignored the person and distracted her children with crayons.
“You’re kicking me off for expressing my opinion?!!” the person also angrily questioned as he was being removed, TMZ reported.
JetBlue confirmed the incident, saying that the “decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly.”
“If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight. In this instance, our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight,” the airliner added.
Ivanka was flying from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City.
