An Italian woman reportedly died from complications from the nose cosmetic surgery she received on her 21st birthday.

Maria Chiara Mete got a rhinoplasty, a nose reshaping procedure, at the Casa del Sole clinic in Fromia in Latina Province, according to The Mirror.

After the procedure, she suffered cardiac arrest. Doctors attempted to revive her, but they were unsuccessful.

Mete was rushed to the Dono Svizzero hospital before she was taken to the Santa Maria Goretti hospital. She died after spending a week in a coma, reported the Roma.fanpage.it news website.

Lawyers for the family won a court order for the breathing tube to be seized by officials. They are suspicious that the oxygen supply during the procedure was halted, the Mirror and Roma.fanpage.it reported.

Mete’s family also said she might have had an adverse reaction to the medication used to lower her blood pressure and bleeding during the cosmetic procedure.

Prosecutors in Latina Province said they investigating the matter, and an autopsy is being carried out.

“We can’t understand how you can die at the age of 21 because of a nose operation,” her uncle was quoted as saying.

Mom of 3 Dies

A mother of three died from a blood clot nearly three weeks after she underwent a plastic surgery procedure at a clinic in London.
Louise Harvey, 36, of Norwich, died on July 5 after the operation 17 days before, but news of the incident was only revealed this week, the BBC reported.

An inquest into the woman, who worked as a beautician, was opened on Nov. 27. A full hearing is slated for March 26, 2019.

Harvey was a patient at Transform Cosmetic Surgery, which stated that it conducted an internal investigation before passing information to the coroner.

“We can confirm that a patient passed away on 5 July 2018, nearly three weeks after undergoing a procedure at a Transform hospital,” the firm said in a statement, the BBC reported. “We are deeply saddened by this and have undertaken a full internal investigation.”

It continued: “This has been shared with the coroner and other relevant authorities in support of their investigation, the findings of which have yet to be determined.”
JustGiving fundraising page was earlier in November to help her children: Kayleigh-Anne, 18; Owen, 11; and Jaxon, 6.
“Louise Harvey sadly passed away recently after a blood clot formed in her body. It has been a shock to us all that this beautiful, young devoted mother of three has been taken away from us so early and without warning when she had so much to live for,” the page wrote. “We have received an overwhelming response from family and friends offering their condolences and support and would like to contribute in some way to ease the suffering her death has caused.”

Man Dies After Cosmetic Surgery

In a recent incident, a 29-year-old New York man died in the Dominican Republic while reportedly getting discount liposuction.
Manuel Nunez, who worked in New York City, traveled back to the Dominican Republic to get plastic surgery done for the third time, his mother said.
“[I told him] ‘Do not do that lipo, you’ve already done two. Don’t you have anything else better to do with your money,’ and he told me, ‘Mom, I have my doctor,’” Teresa de Jesus Batista Ramirez was quoted by the Daily Mail, which cited a local media outlet.
