Ayham Hussein was listening to pop music in a grocery store in Mosul, a northwestern Iraqi city in the Nineveh province, when he was captured by ISIS fighters and then referred to a Sharia court, according to the Nineveh media center.
“ISIS jihadis publicly beheaded the boy,” an anonymous source told ARA News, after the court sentenced him to death.

The boy’s body was returned to the family, and the incident incited outrage among the local residents, who say they hadn’t been warned about the ban on western pop music.
“There was no formal decision by the Sharia Court that ban listening to Western music,” the anonymous source said.
