iPhone 7 Rumors: Concept Images Released, Bezel Speculated

November 16, 2014 Updated: July 18, 2015

The iPhone 7, which will likely see a release date sometime next September, got a couple new concept images courtesy of designer Martin Hajek.

Hajek, in a collaboration with Business Insider, made a few fresh designs this week.

“Based on an idea from tech editor Steven Tweedie from Business insider I visualized what an iPhone 6 would look like with the display pushed to the edges,” he writes. “One concept looks at making the display wider – by doing so the overall physical dimensions of the iPhone become smaller than that of the iPhone 6,” adds Hajek.

“The other concept imagines a display which goes all over the front … with a few holes in the display where the speaker and touch ID/home button go. Making displays with holes (and round edges) is now a possibility thanks to innovative work from Sharp,” he also said.

As Business Insider notes, the iPhone 7 won’t likely see a radical design change, as Apple tends to modify the “physical look of the phone every two years.”

According to blog iPhone7 Update, the iPhone 7 could have 2K display with 2560 x 1440p rendering. It also says the device will have improved battery life, a camera of 13 MP, and a 5.7-inch screen.

“With such powerful features and specs, the battery needs to be potent enough to juice the device properly. On this front, the indication for new battery technology is pretty strong that will allow you to use iPhone 7 for extended hours on a single charge. What is new here is the battery that will be environmental-friendly and will use the organic materials. This will replace the traditional Li-On battery and is expected to get recharged faster,” the blog says.
