The iPhone 6 rumors continue flying, and the latest is that the release date will be in October 2014.

A Chinese tech blog reports that Apple is planning to launch both the iPhone 6 and a smartwatch called the iWatch at that time.

C Technology reports that Apple has been working hard on trying to solve the problem of battery life for the smartwatch before launching it, even though Samsung launched its version of a smartwatch, Galaxy Gear, in September.

Apple is looking to extend the battery life of the upcoming iWatch to 4-5 days, which is three days longer than the Galaxy Gear, reported the Mirror, citing C Technology.

Other iPhone 6 rumors include the possibility of a curved screen, and for facial recognition software.

Other rumored release dates include June 2014.
