An iOS 7 jailbreak Cydia tweak allows users to change their device’s keyboard to blue.

It comes after evad3rs--the team behind the jailbreak project--announced that “evasi0n 1.0.5 with support for iOS 7.0.5 is up” a few days ago, the group tweeted.

The tweak is called BlueBoard and it adds a blue theme to the keys in iOS7.

When the app is installed, one will have to access the Settings app to turn on the tweak. The tweak affects both kinds of keyboards in iOS7, said App Advice.

Another tweak in the same vein is Bloard that will give a dark iOS 7 keyboard.

There’s also a tweak called Fancy that has custom colors as well.

The jailbreaking software can be downloaded for Mac for Windows here.

Here’s a tutorial on how to jailbreak a device.

The jailbreaking software has to be downloaded to your computer–via Mac and  by Solid Savings“ href=”http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/493378-ios-7-jailbreak-new-update-for-latest-ios7-versions-ios-7-0-5-supported/#">Windows PC, but not Linux yet. The iOS 7 device has to be connected to the computer via a USB cable.

The Evad3rs team has said that it is recommended to back up the data on your device on iCloud or iTunes. iTunes users are suggested to  encrypt the backup to speed up the process in case one has to restore the device in case of unforeseen problems.

The iOS 7 device passcode should also be disabled, as that prevents errors from occurring during the jailbreaking process.

Also, one should avoid doing iOS and iTunes tasks until the jailbreak is finished, Evad3rs recommends.

After one download the Evasi0n jailbreak, click on the Evasi0n icon after it’s finished, and then wait for the process to complete. The device will reboot several times during the process. If it gets stuck, it’s OK to restart the device and rebooting it before rerunning the process.

The jailbreak will install the Cydia program on the device. The software is “compatible with all iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4,” Evad3rs says

If an error message pops in OS X 10.8/10.9 saying Evasi0n can’t be opened, right click or control-click on the app. When the context menu that is revealed, hit “Open” and in the next dialogue box, again click “Open.”
