iOS 7.1 beta 3 retains the features of the earlier betas such as the new round buttons instead of the rectangular ones, darker icons for Facetime, Messages, and Phone, and a new look to the Power Off slider.

Beta 3 also adds the feature to turn parallax on or off while choosing wallpapers. For those who don’t know, parallax is a new feature in iOS 7 that gives the illusion that the screen is three-dimensional. It effectively turns the glass on the iPhone into a “window” through which one sees a 3D world.

Sounds cool, right? It is, but it’s not for everyone. In addition to making some people queasy, it makes selecting wallpaper a bit of a pain sometimes. Some users have experienced frustration with desirable images automatically zooming-in when trying to set them as wallpaper. This issue can sometimes be fixed by turning parallax off in Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion by turning ON the “Reduce Motion” option. Beta 3 shortens this lengthy process.

There is no official release date yet for iOS 7.1, but judging by the number of bugs left, it probably won’t be until March.
