ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.— Scott Dixon was quickest in the third practice session for the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Saturday, March 11. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver was also quickest in Session Two, Friday afternoon.

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver James Hinchcliffe was second quickest in the session, followed by Alexander Rossi of Andretti Autosport. Penske’s Josef Newgarden was the quickest of the Chevrolets, in seventh.

Honda drivers captured eight of the top ten spots, repeating the success they had in Session One. (They took six of ten in Session Two.)

Qualifying for the St. Pete Grand Prix starts at 2: 55 p.m.
