An Indiana nurse is no longer an employee of a hospital she worked for after a shocking Twitter message she wrote that said white baby boys “should be sacrificed to the wolves.”
A spokesman for Indiana University Health said that Taiyesha Baker “is no longer an employee of IU Health,” but would not clarify if the nurse was fired, citing company policy, according to Indianapolis Star.
In a since-deleted tweet, Baker, who went by the “Night Nurse” username, wrote:
“Every white woman raised a detriment to society when they raise a son. Someone with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, killer, and domestic violence all star. Historically every son you had should be sacrificed to the wolves [expletive].”
IU Health is one of the largest hospital systems in the nation, according to Fox News. The company found out about Baker’s tweet on Saturday morning, Nov. 25, after the message caused a wave of shocked reactions on social media, and was picked up by several news outlets. IU Health issued a statement early on Saturday to say that it was investigating the matter.
Later on Saturday, IU Health issued an update, saying that Baker “will have no access to patient care.”
“IU Health is aware of several troubling posts on social media which appear to be from a recently hired IU Health employee,“ the statement said, according to the Indianapolis Star. ”Our HR department continues to investigate the situation and the authenticity of the posts.”
That message was followed by the Sunday statement clarifying that Baker is no longer an employee.

Baker received a nursing license on Oct. 30, which is set to expire on Oct. 31, 2019, Fox 59 reported citing public nursing license records.
Baker’s account, @tai_fiery, was deleted and eventually recreated by another user who tweeted several times from it. The re-created account was later deleted.
Baker worked for the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, according to IU Health spokesman Jason Fechner, the Washington Post reported.

According to WHAS, Baker protested the appearance of conservative speaker Charles Murray at Indiana University in April, which gained media attention because it was themed after a widely mocked Pepsi ad featuring Kendall Jenner. Pepsi later pulled the ad after public outcry.
In 2015, a Taiyesha Baker from Indianapolis was interviewed by Parlour Magazine about her travel experiences in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Spain. The article noted that Baker was a nursing student at the time.
