India Q&A: What Qualities Do You Expect in India’s Next Prime Minister?

Akshat Singhal, 31,Co-founder, The Blue Ribbon Movement , Mumbai: I expect our next prime minister to lead above party politics, take ownership, and be genuinely accountable to the citizens of this country. We need an aggressive leader who can deliver and is ready to take some tough decisions. He/She should not only talk but also walk the talk. That apart, our prime minister should be a good manager who can efficiently work with different people, departments, states, and countries to bring back our country on the growth trajectory. Though India is still struggling with a difficult economic situation, Indians are all set to elect a national government early next year. Amidst falling rupee, and rising oil and commodity prices there is a lot of clamor on who would be the next prime minister.
