In-N-Out Cook Reddit: In a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” post this week, a cook with fast-food franchise In-N-Out Burger said the chain treats its workers well, but said there needs to be more bacon and onion rings served there.

A cook with In-N-Out revealed the ins and outs of the popular burger franchise during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything,” or AMA, heaping praise on the management’s treatment of workers.

“They really are [fair to employees,] In-N-Out really takes care of the associates not just with the vision/ dental for the part-time and medical/ disability for full-timers but every year they rent out a water park or theme park depending what state you’re in and take half the associates plus a guest or family if you have kids on a bus and pay for EVERYTHING (the other half go the next day),” the Redditor, dravila9, wrote.

The poster said that it is possible, as a store manager, to make in excess of $100,000 per year, while assistant managers make between $40,000 and $70,000. “In-N-Out really is a great company to work for if you don’t mind working with food all day,” the comment reads.

“Starting out you get ten dollars an hour but you can move up pretty quick I’m at $12.50 right now in line for another raise once my divisional manager comes back from surgery,” wrote the user, claiming to have been a cook there for more than four years.

One user asked him what food item he wished In-N-Out would serve, but currently doesn’t.

He replied: “Bacon burgers and onion rings. Took bacon in to cook after closing and it really changes everything. I can’t truly enjoy the burgers anymore,” adding that one can’t get a bacon cheeseburger there.

In-N-Out was founded in 1948 and has more than 280 locations, mainly in California, Utah, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada.
