Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is being lampooned on social media over a screenshot of an email apparently sent by her campaign.
“I’m not kidding, Maddi, I’m asking you to give $1 right this second,” the email states, according to The Telegraph.

Many thought it sounded a tad bit desperate following Clinton’s loss to Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire on Tuesday night.
In the email, Clinton’s campaign says: “After tonight’s results roll in, keep this in mind: most of the country casts their primary ballots by the middle of March.
“We absolutely, critically need to make sure Hillary comes out on top in the states that lie ahead.
“I’m not kidding, Maddi, I’m asking you to give $1 right this second.”
It was turned into a meme.

Many of the memes originated from Facebook group “Bernie Sanders Dank Memes Stash.” The memes made it onto Twitter, and the rest is history.
Clinton suffered a 22 percent loss to Sanders in the New Hampshire primary.
