Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! There is nothing better than an ice cream on a hot summer’s day, but too bad that it melts so fast, or does it? Christie Watson, of Cincinnati was shocked when her son’s Great Value ice cream sandwich from Walmart didn’t melt in the sun. He left one of Walmart’s ice cream sandwich on her patio table for 12 hours on an 80- degree day and surprisingly it didn’t fully melt. At first, she did not believe it, so she tried it again and the results turned out to be the same.

People across the nation are testing out this “no melt ice cream” thing. But what is the deal? Is this for real? Apparently Walmart’s ice cream contains certain ingredients that act as stabilizers to allow it to keep its shape. More stabilizers helps to make the melting process slower, which is mainly the reason behind this strange phenomenon.

According to the U.S Food and Drug Administration, these stabilizers are completely safe and edible. No melt ice cream, now thats definitely something to scream about.
