Sweden is one of those places that are well known for their progressive policies, as well as their fridged temperatures. In fact, the winter there can get as low as -22 degress F on average, which can make it a potentially dangerous place to live for most of us in the US, who are used to far more comfortable temperatures.
In these areas, taking a bath in low temperatures is actually quite common. But what many people do not know is that taking a low temperature bath can actually have a fair amount of benefits. So let’s look at a couple of those benefits.
- Increases Alertness
Just imagine waking up first thing in the morning, and hitting your face with some freezing cold water. That is one way to wake up in the morning fairly quickly, and can help you to get on your way and being far more productive.
- Boosts Immune System
Many people think that being cold can cause colds. But in reality, being cold can actually help prevent you from catching a cold. This is because the immune system is better able to protect from foreign invaders in the body when it is cold.
- Helps to relieve stress
Freezing cold water hitting your body is one way to keep your mind off of unnecessary worries and woes. This can also help you to keep them out of your mind for longer as well.
