Shark Week on Discovery Channel brings all-new shark programs on Thursday night, including one titled I Escaped Jaws 2.

The program will air for one hour starting at 9 p.m. EDT.

“Shark attacks victims recount their harrowing near death experiences and reveal how they escaped with their lives,” according to the network.

Preview videos include a girl being rescued from a shark by a hero, shark bites caught on camera, and web extra sharks gone wild.

“Trevor Burns wrestles a great white shark to rescue Elyse Frankcom from its jaws,” the description for the first says.

Frankcom was caught in the jaws of a great white shark off the coast of Australia, when Burns wrestled the shark. “I was being thrown around like a toy,” he said. But he did it, and the shark retreated.

Frankcom started sinking, prompting Burns to dive down, grab her, and head for a boat. They made it out just in the nick of time.

The program is a sequel to the popular program last year that showed other shark escapes.

Included was surfer Shannon Ainslie, who was 15 when two sharks started coming after him. “The fears and thoughts and emotions I was going through were just indescribable,” Shannon recalled. At the time he was thinking, “I’m about to die.” A giant wave swept him away from the sharks but not before the sharks had nearly severed his fingers--he was rushed to surgery to fix them.

Sharkageddon, which tries to uncover the truth behind tiger sharks and other predatory species recently invading Hawaii’s shores, will air afterward starting at 10 p.m.
