Husain Abdullah of the Kansas City Chiefs was penalized for praying after a touchdown on Monday Night Football.

Abdullah, 29, intercepted a pass and ran it in for the score.

He bowed his head to the grass after he scored, and was penalized 15 yards.

Viewers couldn’t believe it.

“I’m not Muslim .. but I don’t agree with penalizing Husain Abdullah for celebrating a TD with prayer .. Tebow did it all the time,” said one.

“The NFL penalized Husain Abdullah for performing a Muslim prayer but Tim Tebow never got penalized once for praying,” added another.

“So Husain Abdullah was penalized for praying after scoring a touchdown. How is praying unsportsmanlike?? The NFL has got to do better,” added yet another.

The Chiefs ended up beating the New England Patriots 41-14, improving to 2-2.

The Chiefs will next play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday on the road.

They’ll then travel to play another game on the road, against the San Diego Chargers, on October 19 after a bye.
