Hugh Jackman: Woman Arrested for Alleged Stalking of Star

Hugh Jackman: A woman accused of stalking the movie star has been arrested, and Jackman says the woman frightened him.

Hugh Jackman, star in a range of movies such as Les Miserables, X-Men, and the Prestige, was working out in a gym in Manhattan’s West Village neighborhood on Saturday morning when a fan rushed past the front desk, crying and shouting that she loves him.

Jackman told radio station 1010 WINS, which reported the incident, that he was frightened.

“The primary concern is my family, obviously, but here is a woman who obviously needs help,” he said. “So I hope she gets the help she needs.”

Kathleen Thurston, 27, was arrested near the gym and charged with stalking, and is waiting arraignment.

Police said the woman has been seen outside Jackman’s home before.
