The latest lineup of HP business notebooks blur the line between the PC and the Macbook Pro by including some of the best of both worlds. The new HP EliteBook and ProBook notebooks come in three different series, each with its own perks. They are divided into the p-series, b-series, and the s-series.

HP’s EliteBook series are powerful notebooks geared toward business professionals. They are the top of the line for HP’s notebooks, with the most robust offerings in terms of features and technical specs.

Each new notebook includes the company’s latest FORGE design. Peripherals are cleaner looking and each notebook has a tough, hybrid body of aluminum and magnesium. They also adopted a chemically strengthened glass touchpad complete with finger gesture recognition.

With 17 new notebooks in all, the choice and customization offered in this line allows each notebook to be tailored to the needs of each user. There are optional dual and quad-core processors as well as battery lives ranging up to 32 hours.

Great perks are found in these notebooks. Among them is the latest version of HP QuickWeb, which includes a quick access button that starts the computer almost instantly and allows for Web browsing, offline, e-mail, Skype video conferencing, and other widgets. The feature is intended for users who are in a hurry and may not have time to wait for the computer to boot up.

In addition to its biometric fingerprint scanner and password lock, users also have the option of a face-recognition lock. It will scan the user’s face and to ensure it’s not just a photo, it will also wirelessly detect their BlackBerry smartphone. The user will not be granted access unless the two match.

Set to hit the U.S. market on March 15, the notebooks range from $579 to $1099.
