As House of Cards season 2 is set to begin soon, it’s a great time to look into some things you didn’t know about the popular Netflix show.

Mashable has published a list of 11 things--here are some of the best ones:

-Director and producer David Fincher once grouped the cast together in the same room.

“Every single person in this room represents our first choice, so don’t [mess] this up,” he told them. “If you do, I will never forgive you.”

-The show has similarities to the HBO series “The Wire”

Both shows were shot in Baltimore; Reg E. Cathey (Freddy, who owns a BBQ joint), was on two seasons of “The Wire”; and the local diner that Stamper often frequents was used extensively in “The Wire.”

-Actors Michael Gill (President Garrett Walker) and Jayne Atkinson (Secretary of State Cathy Durant) are married in real life.

Fincher didn’t know until the producers were setting up credits for the episode.

-That time that Underwood burnt his hand with coffee in episode 9 and then wears a bandage?

It happened after Kevin Spacey had to hold a burning flag while shooting promotional stills, and ended up burning his hand.
