The identity of the infamous Pierre Poutine was expected to be revealed this week after reports emerged that someone would be owning up to some part of the robocall scandal in a Tuesday meeting with Elections Canada.

Poutine was the name registered to a burner cellphone used to launch robocalls in the Guelph, Ontario, riding that has become central to the story.

Suspicions have been high that former Tory staffer Michael Sona, who prominent Conservatives, including Defence Minister Peter MacKay, have suggested was behind the calls, would take the blame.

A prank YouTube video posted Tuesday showed a Sona look-alike claiming responsibility. Post Media reported Wednesday that American Brett Warren was behind the video.

Sona has denied any part in the scandal.
