They were the first people ever to sleep in the landmark Observation Deck, 67 floors above Rock Center. The lucky couple will continue their honeymoon adventure with an all expense paid trip to Bora Bora furnished by Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourisme North America, and the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.
Newlyweds Ryan Pattee and Kelley Pattee hadn’t yet had the honeymoon of their dreams. Just prior to their wedding, Kelley’s father was diagnosed with cancer and Kelley’s mother fractured a hip and was unable to care for herself. While most brides are thinking cakes and gowns, Kelley was caring for both parents and acting as a fierce health advocate.
The couple managed to get married, but a honeymoon was out of the question. Both mother and father have recently received clean bills of health and Ryan continues to be amazed by his bride’s strength, commitment, to family and loving nature. He entered the sweepstakes (without Kelley knowing) and ended his essay by saying, “She is the most caring, sincere girl in the world! I would do anything to give this to her.”
To celebrate the contemporary style that embodies Brides magazine and women today, the suite reflects the grand tradition of glamour and luxury that is at the heart of every romantic fantasy. The headboard is upholstered in plush white velvet with Swarovski crystal buttons and framed with dramatic swirls of plaster flourishes. Swathed in silken sheets and curtains, these deserving newlyweds will surely experience a night to remember.
The Bride Mile High Honeymoon Suite at Top of the Rock is in celebration of the magazine’s 75th Anniversary and is open to the public during daytime operating hours of January 27 and January 28.
