Honey Badger party: After announcing a party to celebrate his being picked in the first round of the NFL Draft, Tyrann Mathieu has canceled the party.

Mathieu, nicknamed Honey Badger, was once a star on Louisiana State University, becoming a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 2011.

But he was dismissed from the school’s team, the Tigers, for multiple violations of team rules, and is now in treatment for substance abuse in Houston.

He still has many teams looking at him, though he is expected to go in the second round at best, not in the first round.

Mathieu shared a flyer on Instagram that invited people to a bash in New York City, where the draft is, at a nightclub, to celebrate his being picked in the first round.

However, after reports publicized the party, he said it’s canceled.

“There will be no party for Tyrann Mathieu!!” He said via Twitter.
