Believe it or not, you can stage your home on a budget! While it’s important to make your home look presentable, it’s not necessary to re-vamp every room and pour big bucks into staging. There are plenty of small fixes you can use to make your home look like a million bucks (without actually spending as much!).
1. Create a focal point. If a room is cluttered with this and that and has no real “center,” it won’t look as appealing as it should. One of the easiest ways to bring a room together is to create a focal point. Choose one item that draws the eye in - a large picture, a potted plant, etc. - and let it be the star. In this bedroom, we used a tall picture above the bed and between the two windows to instantly draw attention.

2. Use curtains as a headboard. If your bed is less than appealing and you’re lacking a headboard, try using curtains! Hang them on the wall behind the bed to create a dramatic effect.
3. It’s all about the entrance. Buyers decide whether or not they like a home in as little as 30 seconds, so be sure to make it count! Pay special attention to the entrance - inexpensive additions can make the world of difference. Try a beautiful piece of artwork, a plant, or even just a decorative item such as a vase or sculpture.
