Most home buyers love the idea of having a loft! Why wouldn’t they? It’s a great extra space that can be used for pretty much anything.
Like an ordinary spare room, it’s tempting to neglect the loft area when staging your home, when really you should be using it to your advantage. Give buyers a clear example of what the room can be used for, and resist the urge to pile things up that you couldn’t find another place for.
This loft area in Atlanta, GA didn’t look very appealing. But we were able to fix that with just a few simple steps! In the before picture, you'll see that the room was probably intended to be a spare bedroom but also ended up being a place to put random objects without a home!
To fix this problem, we got rid of anything unnecessary to the space -- like the refrigerator, one of the bookshelves, and everything else that created clutter. We also moved the bed to the opposite wall so that it would be the first thing that catches the eye.
