Home Staging Secrets: How to Spruce Up Your Home Office

Home offices are wonderful selling points for homes -- it gives buyers a chance to imagine what they could use it for, whether it be an office, a gym, or even a guest room! And if you’re lucky enough to have a home office, you need to know how to make it work to your advantage.

Some common mistakes that sellers often make are not giving that spare room a clear purpose, under-furnishing, or simply using it as a storage room. None of these things are appealing to buyers! The below home office, for example, was under-furnished and looked drab:

The big, gaping empty spaces and lack of accessories in this home office are part of the problem! In the after photos, you'll see that we moved the desk to create a focal point in the room, added accessories (including a minibar!) and a comfy chair to make it appear more inviting.
