When staging your home to sell, always be sure to pay extra attention to the bathroom! It’s a major selling point, and it can potentially make or break your sale since most buyers are wary of the need for bathroom renovations when making an offer.
Even if your bathroom isn’t in disrepair, it’s a good idea to add some extra touches to make it look especially nice. Here are a few tips to help you get started:
1. Make sure it matches. Although it may seem insignificant, you'd be surprised at how a matching set of toiletry holders can really pull together a bathroom! Choose something sleek and simple, that will appeal to a wide variety of buyers.
2. Spring for some luxe rugs. You may not even realize it, but chances are your bath rugs are pretty dingy looking. In order to appeal to potential buyers, they should always look pristine and new. Consider switching in a “spare” set for viewings so they won’t appear used.
3. Add something pretty! While your home should remain fairly neutral, it’s okay to add some nice touches, such as flowers. Try to avoid anything too bold or bright -- a plant (real or faux) that is a neutral color and an appropriate size can really make your bathroom shine!
