An article claiming that Nirvana band members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and a “hologram Kurt Cobain” are going on tour is merely satire.

The article was published on the National Report, which doesn’t post real news.

The article reads: “In 2013, attendees of Cochella were blown away when a holographic image of Tupac Shakur walked onto the stage and began performing his hit song, Hail Mary. Since then, record execs have been mulling over which deceased artist they should resurrect next and it appears they’ve finally made their decision; The legendary grunge rocker, Kurt Cobain.”

The article also features a crude, Photoshopped photo of Cobain, who died 20 years ago this week, as a “hologram.”

The National Report has a disclaimer, explaining it doesn’t publish real news stories.

“National Report is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within National Report are fiction, and presumably fake news. Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental,” it reads.
