NEW YORK—Times are tight. The holiday season often comes with expectations of new toys and goodies for children of all ages. The possibilities range from a new skateboard for a teenager to a new Mercedes for mom, and all the infinite variations in between. Children hope for that one treasured item they are sure will fulfill their dreams, and of course, some have an entire list of dreams.
It is also a time for giving, a time to express to friends, family, and colleagues our affection and appreciation. We can be the heroes that will bring that much longed for possession, we can be Santa Claus. In these days of State and City budgets undergoing drastic reductions, The Epoch Times took the streets to ask, “What would you like for the holidays? And if you could give the city of New York a holiday gift, what would it be?”
“I would like more business, for New York, some way to keep the streets clean”
