HONG KONG—The first round of the Men’s Holland Cup took place on Sunday April 2 with four teams in action to decide the final two teams to make up the quarter finals. The match between HKFC-B and KCC-A was played at Hong Kong Football Club, and the SSSC-A and Pak-A match was at King’s Park.

HKFC-B won the game against KCC-A 2-0 with both goals coming in the 2nd half. After an uninspiring first session the game picked up after the break. For KCC Ahmed Ewis played his usual solid game with good distribution to the forwards, and some enterprising interceptions and runs by KCC attackers took them up-field giving them chances to score. But HKFC played much better in the second half and got the breaks needed to win the knock out match.

In the other fixture SSSC-A came through 3-0 against Pak-A to meet Valley-A in the next round.

Quarter Finals Line-up

The line-up for the quarter finals to be played after the Easter break on April 23, includes two matches to be played at HKFC: HKFC-B will play Shaheen-A, KNS-A will meet HKFC-A and at King’s Park, SSSC-A play Valley-A and HKCC-A will tackle league winners Khalsa-A.
