LOS ANGELES—Real estate and business owner, Ferris Wehbe, found Friday night’s Shen Yun performance at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in The Music Center “amazing.”
“It’s great, it’s amazing,” said Mr. Wehbe after seeing the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts’ presentation of classical Chinese dance and music. “They tell you a story in dancing. The agility, their stamina, it’s just amazing.”
Mr. Wehbe said he knows that throughout history, music and dance has always been used to tell stories. But after seeing Shen Yun’s classic Chinese and modern-day tales, he thinks the meaning behind these performances goes deeper.
“It’s more than the dancing skills, it’s the story behind it, the whole thing,” he said.
The cultural elements of Shen Yun also touched him.
“You can see there is history there; history and culture,” he said.
