Hillary Clinton will be attending the Liberal Party’s 2023 national convention and will be joining Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland in a keynote discussion.

Freeland announced on Twitter that the former first lady of the United States and the country’s 67th secretary of state is slated to attend the event on May 5, the second day of the three-day Liberal Party convention set to take place in Ottawa.
During Canada’s 2021 federal election, Clinton voiced support for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, calling him a “friend” in a Twitter post, while wishing him and “our progressive Canadian neighbors the best” three days ahead of the election.

Trudeau will speak at the convention on May 4 but is expected to miss out on much of the event to travel to London for the coronation of King Charles on May 6.
