A woman in Georgia is being called a hero after pulling off three dogs that were attacking a 9-year-old neighbor. The boy was assailed by the animals Wednesday night, Jan. 24, in Loganville, located in metro Atlanta, according to
WSB.
Three pit bulls got loose and attacked the boy, the report said. “I pushed the dogs away, I managed to get them off of his face,” said Svetlana Reut, the neighbor. The boy’s face was severely injured, and he was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The dogs were transported to Walton County Animal Control, reported the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution. They’re now being quarantined for 10 days.
The dogs, according to Fox 5 Atlanta footage, appear to be pit bulls or a type of pit bull mix. The owner of the animals was not charged.
