Blizzard said that “Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft” will have a spectator mode, akin to Starcraft II or some other previous Blizzard titles.

The mode allows players to watch other gamers’ play sessions without taking part.

BlizzPro reported that the mode would be available.

“[Kim Phan, the Senior e-Sports Manager at Blizzard,] confirms that the highly requested spectator mode has been ranked highly on the ‘To-do’ list and, while it won’t be released with the official launch, it will be seen shortly after,” the website states.

“We have a full list of features that we would love to see from an e-Sports point of view, really we are trying to figure out what people want the most, and what is really high on the list right now is spectator mode,” Phan said in a video.

“Hearthstone” is in open beta at the moment.
