Hawaii: No Tsunami Warning After Quake Hits Near Japan

There was no tsunami warning issued for Hawaii after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Japan.

There was no tsunami warning issued for Hawaii after a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Japan.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said no watch, advisory, or warning was in effect.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said that a tsunami warning was issued for much of the Pacific coast, including Fukushima Prefecture.

TEPCO, which oversees the crippled Fukushima Daiichi power plant, said that no damage was done to the plant during the quake.
