The final Harry Potter movie reached the end of its last take closing the door on another chapter of cinematic history for Warner Brothers. The end of production also marks the end of an era for the cast of the Harry Potter films who have grown up within the creation of the highly successful films.

A recent posting on the popular information blogging site io9.com outlined the end of filming for the very last Harry Potter films, titled ‘Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows.’ The film will be broken into two separated parts. The first film will premiere in November of this year and Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows, Part 2 will premiere in July 2011.

All of the action for both chapters of the story were filmed together much like the last two parts of the Matrix trilogy that were also created by Warner Brothers.

The other six Harry Potter films based on the highly successful novels by author J.K. Rowling have each made millions of dollars in their own right. The Harry Potter film series is the highest grossing film series in history without adjustment for inflation.

The first Harry Potter film ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,’ was released in 2001 giving the film series a full decade to cover its start and finish.
