Gurbaksh Chahal, a tech CEO, has gotten out of a case without jail time after pleading guilty to two misdemeanors.

Chalal, known as “G,” is the CEO and founder of RadiumOne.

He faced 45 charges after allegedly severely beating his girlfriend.

Security footage surfaced last fall of Chalal hitting Juliet Kakish over 100 times in 30 minutes his San Francisco home, reported the San Francisco Examiner. He allegedly dragged her from the bed to the floor, repeatedly hit her in the head and other areas, and threatened to kill her.

His girlfriend called police when he left the room and officers intervening might have saved her life, she told police.

In the deal reached with police, Chalal must serve three years probation, complete a 52-week domestic violence training program, and serve 25 hours of community service.

“This now allows Gurbaksh and RadiumOne to move forward with their IPO, which is further down the line,” said Sam Singer, a well known public relations consultant, to the San Francisco Business Times. “It was an important conclusion to what was a difficult situation, and all sides are to be commended in the reasonable conclusion of this case.”

Chalal’s lawyers convinced the judge to throw out the video as evidence and throw out dozens of the charges before the trial even started.
