An armed man on Monday barricaded himself inside a home in Sellersburg, Indiana, with police and a SWAT team deployed on the scene, according to reports.

There have been reports of a Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy being shot and wounded, according to WHAS-11 television.

The deputy was alert and speaking at the University of Louisville Hospital.

WLKY-TV reported that the officer was shot in the leg. Neighbors told the station that they saw a man running down the street in Sellersburg with a gun.

A K-9 dog with Indiana State Police was also shot.

As of around 4 p.m., the shooting suspect was still barricaded inside the home. WLKY reported that the man apparently held his own children as hostages before letting them go.
