Gucci Mane indicted: Rapper Gucci Mane was indicted for allegedly hitting a soldier in the head with a bottle of champagne in March while he was at a club.

The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, was charged with aggravated assault.

He was ordered by a judge to be placed under house arrest on Wednesday. He can only go out for work-related travel, including concerts, studio time, or appearances related to his career and contractual obligations.

“The most important thing is that he be able to meet his contractual obligations,” his attorney, David Findling, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Earlier teports said the soldier was trying to get a photo with the rapper when he assaulted him.

Findling described the soldier’s story as “suspicious” and added that “the evidence continues to just be only the victim’s statement.”

“I’m in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?” the soldier recalled, according to MTV News. The soldier then was hit in the head and received 10 stitches.

“I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle,” he added, according to WSBTV.

However, the rapper was also accused of assault in Philadelphia several days later.

“I haven’t ever been so humiliated in my life and disrespected,” said the victim in that case. He accused the rapper of punching him in the face.
