A petition to get “Grand Theft Auto V” on the PC has garnered more than 720,000 signatures and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

However, there’s a counter-petition--also on Change.org--to “DONT MAKE A PC VERSION OF GTA V (sic).”

The petition was created “so PC Gamers learn their lesson and stop stealing games,” and it has more than 12,000 signatures as of Friday.

Apparently, the creator made the petition to stop the pirating and torrenting of PC video games.

There’s also another petition to bring “GTA V” to the Xbox One and PS4, which has less than 1,000 signatures.

A few weeks ago, Take Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “Rockstar Games is hard at work on their upcoming lineup, and we’re excited about what they have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year.”

He did not elaborate on what Rockstar is working on currently.

Gaming analyst Michael Pachter said he believes the PC version will come out in 2014.

“Well, the PC version, you know, I think is a very easy port. So I am certain that’s coming out, and I would bet anything that it comes out this year. Xbox One and PS4 versions, not so fast, because to port from 360 to One is probably very hard. If you look at Titanfall, for example, it went the other way,” Patcher, who is the managing director at Equity Research at Wedbush Securities, told Gaming Bolt.

He added: “"So, I don’t even know if it’s possible, or feasible. I think they might need to redo the code, which might take them a long time, a year or more, and that’s if they spend their time and attention on that, and from everything I can tell, Rockstar’s busy working on GTA Online. So I would say PC version this year, most likely. Xbox One and PS4, this year? Probably not.”

Earlier this month, industry “insider,” Ahsan Rasheed–also known as Thuway--wrote that “Rockstar still wants to make Agent but I have no idea if its in development. It’s founders ‘Dreamgame’ – GTA5 PC/NextGen are also coming.”

“Direct from source, Not everything will be at E3, things aren’t ready, some ink is still fresh. Give it time. You will buy an X1,” he also said.
