Police in Greenfield, Wisconsin, released dash camera footage of a police SUV rolling over during a high-speed chase.

According to Fox6 on Aug. 22, suspect Jorge Ornelas, 26, of Milwaukee faces one count of first degree recklessly endangering safety as well as one count of trying to flee an officer.

In the chase, Ornelas, who was arrested on Aug. 12, went through a red light at an intersection and reached speeds of around 112 mph in a 35 mph zone.

When an officer tried a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) maneuver, Ornelas’ vehicle bumped into the median and then went back into the roadway before hitting the officer’s SUV, which flipped over.

“Thank God (the officer) is OK,” a witness to the crash said, according to Fox6. “We looked down the block and sure enough, we saw an SUV upside down facing us. You could see the bottom of the car and stuff like that. Flipped upside down. Tires in the air ... all four. They blocked it all off. All of the cop cars were just keeping all the traffic away,” said Corey Oschmann.

The officer in the flipped SUV was pulled out by other officers and was taken to the hospital. He was treated and released, according to the report.

According to TMJ4, Ornelas could face as many as 18 years in prison.
