Actress Gwyneth Paltrow described her love of “her second home,” Spain in a recent interview with the Associated Press, conducted completely in Spanish.

The actress, who lived briefly outside of Talavera de la Reina as a teenager explains, “It really changed my life.” Since then she has been returning frequently. The actress participated in Chef Mario Batali’s special, “Spain…On The Road Again,” where the pair sampled the country’s cuisine and culture. She publishes her popular lifestyle website, Goop, in English and Spanish and plans to release a book about cooking with Spanish influence next year.

Of the country, the actress says, “It is so different from the United States. It seemed to have a history, and the buildings are years and years and years old. Here in the United States an old building is about 17 (years old), and over there it’s from 500 B.C., it’s incredible,” she said.

“Also, the way people live over there. They seem to enjoy life a little bit more. They aren’t running around as much as in New York. They enjoy time with the family. They don’t always have their Blackberries on.”

In December, 2008, Malden and his wife, Mona, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. His wife survives him, along with their daughters Mila and Cara, three granddaughters, Alison, Emily, and Cami, and four great-grandchildren, Mila, Stella, Charlie, and Thomas Karl.

David Mamet’s “Oleanna” will feature the Broadway debut of Actress Julia Stiles. Stiles, in the role of a college student, will work alongside Actor Bill Pullman, who plays a college professor. The revival is set to open on October 11 at the Golden Theater in New York. Previews begin September 29.
