An accident at a motor rally in Poland left at least 15 people injured when a car skidded into the stands, reported Reuters on Sunday.
The incident took place during the start of the Gran Turismo Polonia race event slated to last for the next three days. Of those who were injured in Poland’s city of Poznan, two were children, the news agency reported.
The race draws motor enthusiasts from across Europe, and some 150 luxury cars were in the race.
Jalopnik.com obtained a statement from an official about the driver.
“The car was registered in Sweden. The driver, Morten N. lost control of the car shortly after launching it from the start line. The car then spun and hit the curb ending up hitting a group of spectators,” the statement reads.
