The Grammys 2014, the biggest awards in the music business, are being hosted tonight and even as millions of people tune in, one of the top contenders have won their awards.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis swept awards in the Rap music category for their breakout song “Thrift Shop.” Their hit single, which was released on August 27, 2012, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 2012, and dropped off, before returning and steadily climbing till it reached the top 10 in early 2013. The music video has gather almost 500 million views on Youtube.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ single won the awards for “Best Rap Performance” and the album won for “Best Rap Album”.

The duo are also still in running for a few other awards that they have been nominated for, such as “Best New Artist” and “Song of the Year”.
