Google Nexus One Set for Release In Smartphone Market

Google is looking to release a new smart phone known as Nexus One this week and many analysts and consumers alike are wondering whether it will have what it takes to rival Apple’s iPhone or Motorola’s Droid.

Interesting features include Google’s own Android 2.1 operating system along with 3.7-inch touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera.

The T-Mobile based phone will also carry a 4 GB microSD memory card.

Google failed to take what is seen as major leap forward in the industry with their new phone, which is the ability to use two fingers at the same time on the touchscreen.

Many people in the world of modern electronics are stating that the first company to do so will truly revolutionize the industry.

However, it will be very apparent to potential smartphone shoppers taking a look at the new Nexus One that this is Google’s answer to Apple’s iPhone.

Google’s new web browser named Chrome recently surpassed Apple’s Safari in popularity and it certainly looks like Google is aiming for the same results with the Nexus One.

Google filed a trademark listing for Nexus One in December 2009 but did not give a release date until later in the year.

Google employees have been given sample versions of the phone to try out the new system and gain user insight.
