The Google Nexus 8 has been the subject of many rumors, as people want to know about the price, release date, and specs for the tablet.

Very little official information has come out about the Nexus 8, but the release date is expected by the end of the year.

The specific date won’t be announced at the developer conference in June, but should be announced sometime in July, a Dublin-based Google employee told Android Geeks.

The Nexus 7 models were launched in July 2013 and 2012, respectively.

The employee also said that the Android 4.5 will be officially unveiled along with the new tablet.

Rumors about a possible price have been scant but some blogs, such as PCAdvisor, say that it will cost a little more than the Nexus 7--which retails for around $200. It’s hard to peg down a specific price based on the lack of confirmed information about specs and design.

As for the specs, the Google source said that the company isn’t developing a 7-inch tablet anymore, instead focusing on an 8-inch tablet because of fewer models on the market.

Because of the aligned launch with Android 4.5 it’s believed that the new tablet will come with the new Android version.

Android Pit says that the release date may have been pushed back because of issues with the chip, which will be an Intel chip that can go up to around 2.33 GHz. That chip would replace one that Google has been using Snapdragon from Qualcomm.
