The HKCC Scorpions struggled in the early stages of their innings against the opening attack of Haseeb Amjad and Jahanzheb Khan picking deliveries carefully for scoring chances. Charlie Bright made a solid, professional 106 supported by Simon Derrick (35), Courtney Kruger (16) and Mark Fergusson (17). Mark Wright miss-timed his first delivery pushing it for a simple catch to Asif Hussain. Philip Holmewood then joined Bright who was on 72 at that time. But at 164 for four off 32 overs they were struggling to keep up with the USRC/Millennium run rate.

The Scorpions finished with 276 for 7 off their allotted overs. Holmewood was unbeaten on 58. USRC/Millennium picked up five points taking them onto 15 points from seven matches.

HKCC Optimists against SLCC

A disappointing batting performance by Headwin SLCC (Sri Lankans Cricket Club) playing against HKCC Optimists at the HKCC ground saw them all out for 55 runs in 13 overs. D. Singh took seven wickets for 30 runs in 7 overs. The Optimists knocked off the runs in 16.2 overs for the loss of two wickets.

Pakistan Association AMSUA against HKCC Wanderers

The Wanderers batted first in this match at Mission Road and were dismissed for 99 runs. Nadeem Ahmed took five wickets for 30 runs and Tanwir Afzal two for 13.

Pakistan Association AMSUA reached the total without loss in 14.2 overs. Aizaz Khan made 51 not out and Hussain Butt was undefeated on 35. Five points were awarded to Pakistan Association putting them on 20 points and third in the standings after four matches.
