UPDATE: Google said that the outage is over.

Gmail and other Google services were down for some users on Wednesday morning, with reports saying it was mainly in the southeastern United States.

The website DownRightNow said Gmail users faced a “likely service disruption” and CNN reported that many in the southeastern U.S. could not access Gmail, Google Plus, Google Drive and YouTube.

Users on Twitter and other social media sites posted messages saying Google wasn’t working for them and asked others to confirm their suspicions.

CNN noted that outages started at 9:30 a.m. but said that by around 10:30 a.m., some users said Google was back up for them.

“Google/Gmail is down in the Southeast. Time to go back to hollerin'!” wrote user Jay Jay Busbee.

“Gmail & Tweetdeck both down = no early morning snark,” another wrote.

“Passed three coworkers who were taking cyanide capsules in their cubes. Is Gmail down or something? #googledown,” said another.

The website DownForEveryoneOrJustMe also confirmed Google services were out for some.
